DR. RICHARD KABANDA
Patron of the Association
Is a renowned Public Health Specialist with expertise in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. As the Commissioner of Health Promotion, Education and Health Communication, at Uganda's Ministry of Health, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the country's health agenda.
Dr. Kabanda's impressive credentials include a PhD in Public Health, a Master of Public Health, and a Master of Business Administration. He's also a Fellow of Public Health at the African Institute of Public Health and a member of the International Society for Global Health.
As a Lecturer at Uganda Martyrs University's Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. Kabanda has mentored over 30 Master of Public Health students to completion. His extensive experience spans working with various districts, non-profit organizations and the private sector.
Notably, Dr. Kabanda chairs the Technical Working Group for Africa CDC and serves on the World Health Organization's strategic and Technical Advisory Group of Experts on Well-being and Health Promotion. He's a strong advocate for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and education.
Dr.Kabanda's commitment to Public Health is evident in his efforts to combat malaria, a pressing issue in Uganda. He's worked closely with cultural leaders and health officials to promote malaria vaccination efforts and address misinformation.
Meet Natukunda Bonny MS.
President, Society For Professional Health Educationists Uganda.
As a Public Health Specialist, Natukunda Bonny is passionate about empowering communities to take control of their health. With a strong conviction that 75% of diseases are preventable, Bonny collaborates with fellow health educationists nationwide to sensitize communities on various health conditions.

Bonny serves as a member of the National Technical Working Group for Health Promotion, Education, and Communication at the Ministry of Health. Her impressive credentials.

Currently, Bonny is the Senior Health Educator for Wakiso District and provides consultancy services on health promotion. Her extensive experience working with Community Health Workers has equipped her with a unique understanding of community needs.

He is the Senior Health Educator Rubanda District. He holds MPH-HP, PGD PPM, Bsc PH &CEH, He is the National Supervisor for immunization services since 2017. He offered consultancy services to WHO, UNICEF, CHAI and PATH, He also part times at St. Ignatius University in faculty of Health Sciences.

She is a Public Health Specialist working with Rubirizi District Local government coordinating & supervising Village Health Team(HCI) structure, now for the last 10 years.
She is an eloquent communicator with a passion for Health promotion & disease prevention and a friend of all age categories thus finds it easy for everyone to confide in her and loves angaging with AYs stemming from the guidance she received during her young stages and this shaped her like so. She is a holder of a masters degree in Public Health- Health Promotion & Education of Uganda Martyrs University.

He started work in 2015 as a clinical officer at Kigumba health centre 111- Kiryandongo and became the in charge of the same facility in 2018 and later in 2022 he was promoted to the position of Health Educator and assigned the role of the District Health Educator where he serves up to date at the headquarters.
